Peesh McClanahan, 76
Peesh wants to move and Paul wants to stay right where they are. How is this couple, who are now in their 70s, handling this conundrum? We talked about it and more in this episode of Conversations About Aging, a Catching Health podcast.
One of the issues that often comes up as we are living longer is figuring out the best place to live. Most people want to stay put in their own home. That’s what Peesh and her husband Paul want, only they have different ideas about where in Maine their home should be. One thing they agree on is that it’s important to live your life fully and not put things off. My conversation was mostly with Peesh, but Paul joined us toward the end.

Who’s next?
My next conversation is with Dr. Robert McAfee, who is a retired surgeon and former president of the American Medical Association. We go way back — I interviewed him many times when he was still practicing and I was still reporting on Channel 6. I’m looking forward to catching up.
If you have any suggestions for people I should consider interviewing or you’re aware of a helpful aging resource in your community, let me know. The best way to get in touch is to send me an email. Thank you!
