Time to write (paint) my own story!

I have made the difficult decision to stop doing Catching Your Memories and podcast interviews. I have so enjoyed interviewing people about their lives over these many years, but the time has come to spend more time focusing on my own story!

My original intent was to devote my time and energy to painting, which I am happy to say I have been able to do.

Oil painting is a joy I discovered late in life that is essential to my well-being on all levels! These are some paintings in progress.

I also recently took on another unexpected challenge. I am now the Director of the little library in my community, North Gorham, Maine. When my children were young, I imagined myself as a librarian and so, when decades later, the opportunity arose, I couldn’t say no. Here I am behind the desk.

One of the many lessons I’ve learned is that everyone has a story if only someone would ask. What are you waiting for? Start asking. You’ll be amazed at the stories people have been aching to share!

Take care,
Diane
