Sam Kelley has lived a life of service. He served his country in Vietnam and continues to serve his community and fellow veterans in myriad ways. One of the ways he serves his fellow veterans is by being a volunteer for an organization called Vet2Vet Maine.

For the past several years, he has been paired with vets who have (or a family member has) requested regular volunteer visits. The program was initiated by Southern Maine Agency on Aging in 2014 and soon after, became a free-standing non-profit organization.

In this episode of the Catching Your Memories podcast, I talk with Sam and his wife Jean, and also with Executive Director Sue Gold, who helped found the program.
